20 new lawyers take oath June 13

The twenty new lawyers from Silliman Univer sity and Foundation University will be sworn along with 1, 780 other Bar exam passers on June 13 at the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC.

Silliman University (SU) produced 14 new lawyers, based on the list of passers of the November 2018 Philippine Bar Examinations released by the Supreme Court May 3.

Twelve (12) of the seventeen (17) who graduated from the SU College of Law in 2018 passed the Bar Exams as first-takers, or a passing rate of 71 percent. In addition, two second-takers from Batch 2017 also passed the Bar Exams.

The Fourteen graduates from Silliman University passed the bar exams Nikita Lorette M. Aguilar, Kyle L. Almero, Khim Tonne B. Bation, Karen B. Cabual, Nubbin Paul C. Lagumbay, Kristine Felva P. Licup, Sidney C. Malicay, Veronica Louise D. Mandi, Ebenezer Daryl P. Manzano, Monica Marie T. Miciano, Ron G. Roa, Juan Romulo R. Taleon, Roselle Anne Q. Tinguha and Joed Marice V. Zamora.

Meanwhile, six graduates from Foundation University College of Law and Jurisprudence recently passed the 2018 Bar Examinations namely: Jorilie Bilbao, Joselin Enojo, Gianelli May Mijares, Antony Leomar Obina, Pascual Vismanos, Jr. and Nikko NiƱo Ramirez

In a statement, the Supreme Court today reminded all successful 2018 Bar examinees to promptly secure their clearances from the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) in time for their June 13, 2019 oathtaking at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). The processing of clearances started today, May 7.

The High Court, through the Office of the Bar Confidant, said that the successful Bar examinees have only until June 10, 2019, Monday, as the new deadline to secure their clearances from the OBC. They are directed to prepare P6, 050 (P3,850 for oath fees and P2,200 for Integrated Bar of the Philippines [IBP] dues, including building fund). For clearance, each is advised to bring three (3) valid identification cards (IDs): one for security and the two for presentation to the OBC. Signing in the Roll of Attorneys will start on June 14, 2019.
