City Hall confirms ongoing projects

DUMAGUETE – City Hall announced the ongoing projects and public works of the city which is due for completion within the year. Mayor Remollo made the announcement to alley fears of some critics about the non-completion of other city projects.

In Barangay Bantayan, the first revision of the rehabilitation of the La Casa Esperanza has been realized that amounted to P675,000.00. While, in Barangay Batinguel, the first revision of the construction of the DRRM Multi-Purpose Hall that has cost P700,000 was also completed and another revision project for the construction of DepEd Dumaguete amounted to P385,000.00. And, there is a proposed repair for the Library Hub of the Dumaguete City Division that actually costs P151,000.00. In Taclobo High School, the construction of DRRM Multi-Purpose Hall continues as it cost P700,000.00.

In other areas in Dumaguete like Calindagan, the on-going project of the construction of drainage canal with cover and cementing of the road in Purok Sunflower, Purok Maanyag ang Purok Matinabangon, in all amounted to P400,000.00. In the same barangay, the construction of shoreline protection fronting the BFAR Office costs P3,785,000.00 and another on-going project for the Evacuation Center in Dumaguete City High School that amounted P1,000,000.00 continues.(JESS ESTRABELA)
