Another drug buy-bust operation last night has resulted in the confiscation of 30 grams of shabu with an estimated amount of P354,000 dangerous drugs board (DDB) value.
Nabbed enflagrante delicto while handing shabu to a police-poseur buyer is Robert Ybanez, 25 years old single, resident of Upper Motong but renting a room of a house in Pulantubig with his live-in partner.
Also recovered from his possession are illegal drugs paraphernalia which included a digital weighing scale, improvised tooter, blades, disposable lighters, cellphones, and marked money among others.
Provincial Intelligence Branch-Special Operations Group (PIB-SOG) team leader PSIns Armel Von Alegria said the subject’s name surfaced during tactical interrogation of suspects in previous anti-drug operations several weeks ago. This was the reason he was listed in the drugs watchlist.
It took authorities some time to trace the whereabouts of the suspect because he was mobile.
Suspect alias “Totong” vehemently denied having in his possession the illegal drugs and paraphernalia. He continued to deny the charges against him even when he was confronted with a photo showing him near a big bulto of shabu which he most probably took before repacking.
He told one of the operatives the contraband item was delivered November 25 in time for the fiesta of Dumaguete. The inventory was witnessed by Pulantubig Kag. Kenneth Duran and a media representative.
