Two kilos of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P23 million pesos were confiscated Thursday from a suspected courier following the service of a search warrant issued by the regional trial court.
Intelligence report say that the catch was anticipated in time for a forthcoming big-school affair in Dumaguete. It only indicates that the huge investment of illegal drugs are easily consumed on this school affair. A big watch for PDEA.
The Provincial Intelligence Branch-Special Operations Group headed by PSIns Armel Von Alegria and team leader PI Allen June Germodo, raided the rented house of suspect Johnmark Abadilla, in Purok Kamaisan together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Police Maritime Command.
Also recovered during the search which was witnessed by Kag. Esmail Rasid, Kag. Choy Gallarde and the media, included a Cal. 357 revolver with 11 ammunitions, a digital weighing scale, lighters, scissor, improvised clip, tinfoils, empty plastic sachets and P113,290.00 believed to be cash proceeds. Present during the inventory included Kag. Reu Ismil, chairman of the peace and order committee of the barangay.
The two kilos of shabu was believed to have just arrived because it was still placed inside a ziplock plastic.
Initial investigations showed the shabu is for distribution during the celebration of a big school anniversary within this month or the next.
PSI Alegria said they have been receiving reports about the nefarious activity of the suspect and so a test buy was conducted which yielded positive results. Abadilla is considered a Level 2 suspect because he can dispose 200 grams of shabu in one week.
He is a resident of Colon Extension and is reported to have transferred residence from one place to another. Jrg
